This is not just the largest canyon on Mars, it's the largest canyon in the solar system! This huge canyon extends over 3,000 kilometers long, spans as much as 600 kilometers across, and delves as much as 8 kilometers deep. If it were to be compared to something on Earth, it would cover the entirety of the US with it's hugeness!

I barely stop in time. I peer over the edge a little nervously. I look at Martin, then back down. Martin and I nod determinedly at each other and I find a path that leads down.
